A Space where voices in my head comes alive

Doing what we LOVE

Things I hold close to my heart.

A yearly affair

I don’t take these moments for granted.

I don’t take the trust of both client and crew for granted.

I don’t take having the chance to do what I love for granted.

I don’t take what Daniel and I built over the years through blood, sweat, tears and grit for granted.

Especially now when my baby bump is getting bigger and it’s harder to move around. It’s hard not to feel slightly useless.. I know it is a strange feeling but the workaholic in me refuses to let go.

To get shit done and still have fun at the same time is important to me. The heart and soul of what we do. To pay people right, to get the job done as a team, to make sure everything goes as well as it possibly can.

I do take pride in that. That is the core of us as a business and as humans.

No, we don’t just sell ketones. This is our full-time job, our baby. We get to share and educate on ketones on top of running a company (or was it a few companies?? 😜). And we feel so blessed we get to do these passions side by side.

This does look like the last few times I’ll be able to be on-site with my guys for a while. I’ve got mixed feelings. Not being in the trenches with them, rain or shine.

2020 has been good.. And I am grateful. I’m super blessed.

The last straw..

2 days ago, we covered an event talking about Zero waste with the news and image of the pregnant whale washed up in Italian tourist spot, fresh in our head.

Zero waste event at Bridge+

One of the slides caught my attention. It was not just the amount of plastic we use each year, but more so the last line.

0% of straws?!?!?!

So that means that every single straw we use goes to the trash mount even though we put it in the recycling bin.

And that got me thinking. So do we need straws?! Will the lack of straws create so much destruction in my life? So I decided to try it out for myself!

The coffee we had right after the event

So we started right away! The only down side, cold lips. But the good thing, one less used straw in the environment

So it went on the rest of the day

#nostrawssg

And I started a challenge called #nostrawssg in the attempt to encourage people around me to just reduce straws. Here is the post I did on instagram

One of the questions I got is “what about spoons and forks?” The whole point of #nostrawssg is to start small and make it achievable for everyone. It is less destructive for us to ditch using straws then to stop using utensils altogether.

But are straws too small an effort? Well, what I feel is that one less straw is better than nothing at all! So why not put your words into action and start instead of questioning the effects of the small effort? 🙂

Plus straw cannot be recycled! So the only way to cut down straw waste is not to use it!

Of cos there are other things you can do to help our environment!

Reusable cups for my morning coffee

You can always bring your own mug so that you reduce paper and plastic cups. I started bringing my own coffee mug as well as metal straws.

Yes, although saying no to straws is a small effort, but like everything in life, it is better then not doing anything and expecting things to change.

hello IKEA

Plus it is heartening to see even big corporation doing their bit.

No effort is too small! I may not be able to totally eliminate all my straw usage, but one less straw is one less straw floating around in the ocean.

Lets do our little part and be 1% better every single day!

Love, Samantha

Heart full of gratitude

Very thankful…

AND it’s official… OneClickWonders Productions are sponsoring our second kid and her family in Indonesia. Never in my mind would I think we could have enough financially to do that. It has been a huge step of faith and we are filled with gratitude. If you would like to give, please do consider sponsoring a child from Compassion.

August, a month of thankfulness

It has been a heck of a crazy month! And guess what? The week has not even ended yet. Been in the office editing for 36 hrs and counting, slept less than 5 hrs in total, was about to morph into a cocoon but thankfully Silver brought me out into the sun for dinner today. So I’m feeling a little defrosted at the moment which is awesome!

Thank you Jesus for Ketones if not I am so dead!

Things I am grateful for and fighting the fear monster

As they always say, list down what you are grateful for and there is no space for fear.

  • I’m grateful for supporting families and friends who constantly check in on us. You all know who you are
  • Super grateful to be sharing our beautiful office space with our partner with a crazy beautiful heart, you are truly amazing and unbelievable (big love you!!!)
  • Grateful for clients who are super supportive of us and what we do, who keeps giving us business and trusting us to do crazy experimental styles in our productions and still pay us for it. For refusing discounts because they wanna support our cause of sponsoring charities and kids with part of our profits.

It’s thanks to you guys in our lives, we get to live the crazy dream of changing the world, one kid at a time. We owe everything we are able to do to you guys!!

  • And most of all, thank you God who has been ever so faithful in all things and for sending all these angels to us!!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.. and let's change the world, one kid at a time.

So my strategy to fight fear is to always be grounded in gratitude. Do you have a way to starve off fear? Let me know!

With much love, Sam~
